The Postgraduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a CAPES grade of 4, linked to the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences – ICF/UFAL, began through the master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, approved during the 134th Meeting of the Higher Education Technical Scientific Council (CTC/CAPES). The first result for the selection of regular students was released on April 3, 2012, and an inaugural lecture delivered by Prof. Fonteles from UFC was held on September 18, 2012, to celebrate this important milestone.

The Doctorate degree (PhD) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, the first in this field in the State of Alagoas, recognized by Ordinance No. 2.149 (December 26, 2023), CTC-ES 220ª and 221ª, CNE/CES Opinion nº 915/2023: : https://www.in.gov.br/web/dou/-/portaria-n-2.149-de-26-de-dezembro-de-2023-533847857. On March 15, 2024, the result for the selection of the first doctoral class of the PPGCF were announced. The inaugural session is scheduled for September 17, 2024, when the lecture entitled: " Stricto sensu postgraduate degree in Pharmacy” will be delivered by Professor Armando da Silva Júnior, from UFMG.
